Just finished installing the WordPress that gives life to my baby blog, I have seen this first test news created automatically.
At first I thought of deleting it. Then I read the title Hello World! And I changed my mind, so I decided to change it.
Why?
Why not everybody knows the true meaning of the words Hello World! (In addition to literal translation, of course!) And why you sometimes see on the net.
What better way to start my blog dedicated to information technology, new technologies and the Internet?
The history of these famous words is an integral part of computing history itself!
Here it is, directly from WikiPedia , the free encyclopedia largest in the world:
Hello, world! (In Italian "Hello, world!"), Is a term referring to information technology: it is the words printed on the screen from the first sample program written in C at the start of the famous book "C Programming" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie (there is also a version, very controversial, according to which the first known example was written some time before and language BCPL).
The program is simple, does nothing but print on this video writing and teaching has been incorporated into many other languages as the first example of an introduction to the language in question, becoming a true classic: very often, a programmer who wants to learn a new language begins his exercises trying to write a program that prints on the screen "Hello, world!" in that language.
Note that the current version is not the original: in the beginning was just "hello, world", without capitalization and exclamation point, which came only later in the tradition.
